CareerBrick (“we,” “us,” “our,” a service operated from India) operates careerbrick.pro. This policy is our privacy notice under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”) and applies to anyone using our service worldwide.

What personal data we collect, and why

• Email address — to manage your waitlist/account and send you product communications.
• Resume/CV content, career history, skills, and job application data (once you use the full product) — to build your career profile, score job opportunities against it, and generate resumes, cover letters, and outreach content on your behalf.
• Usage data (pages visited, features used) — to operate, secure, and improve the service.

We only collect what's needed for these purposes.

Your consent

Where we rely on your consent to process data, that consent is free, specific, informed, and unambiguous — given by a clear affirmative action (e.g., submitting the waitlist form). You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us, as easily as you gave it; withdrawal doesn't affect processing already carried out.

Your rights as a Data Principal

You have the right to access your personal data, correct or update it, request erasure, and file a grievance. You may also nominate another individual to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity. To exercise any of these rights, contact our Grievance Officer below.

Third-party processing and cross-border transfer

We use third-party providers to operate CareerBrick, including cloud infrastructure and database hosting (Supabase), email delivery (Resend), and AI providers that power resume generation and job scoring. Some of these providers process data outside India. We only share what's necessary for them to perform their function, and they are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes.

Data retention and security

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, and dispose of it securely when no longer needed. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Data breach notification

In the event of a personal data breach, we will notify affected users and the relevant authorities as required under applicable law.

If you're in the EU/UK or California

You additionally have rights under GDPR (including data portability and objection to processing) or the CCPA, respectively. Contact us to exercise these.

Children

CareerBrick is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this notice as CareerBrick evolves; material changes will be reflected here with an updated date.
